Grupo Scribere is a team made up of 9 professional and passionate linguists who don’t take words for granted. (Please note we are not a translations agency).
At the heart of Grupo Scribere is a true love of words, exceptional writing skills, a broad and expressive vocabulary and an excellent, in-depth knowledge of the grammatical nuances, quirks and rules, idioms and colloquialisms of the target language.
Grupo Scribere marvels at a well written text and is obsessed with cross cultural understanding.

The Scribere team is strongly committed to provide high quality translations and not to let the message get lost due to a bad translation job. When it comes to conveying the essence of the author's heart, we literally go beyond words to achieve this goal!

Franco
Chief Editor >
Franco David Medina is a cofounder and CEO of Grupo Scribere. He was exposed to a multicultural environment from his early teenage years, living and studying in a variety of Latin-American countries. He pursued a career in Spanish Text editing, and in 2006 he became a Professional Editor. His continued education includes several courses on Professional Editing for the Publishing Industry, Spanish Style Editing, and postgraduate training in Biblical and Theological Studies.

Quality Assurance Specialist >
Elena de Medina is our Project Manager and Translation QA Specialist. She earned a Master's Degree in Creative Writing (Literary Creativity and Editorial Management), and a BA in Education (Teaching of English as a Foreign Language). She holds a Diploma in Literary Translation, and she is well trained in the processes of Quality Assurance in Translation. She is an avid reader, and she loves teaching and sharing the Word with other women, including her 2 young daughters. Elena is also a contributor translator for a few international women’s ministries.

Head of Translators >
Alain is the leader of our team of translators. His education includes: Postgraduate Studies in English to Spanish Translation, MS in English Language for Intercultural Communication, BA in English Language, with a specialization in Translation and Interpretation, and a BA in Theological Studies. Alain is passionate about sharing the gospel through outreaches and global missions. He attends regular trainings on Bible translation as this is one of his dreams for his future.
Yanet
Translator >
Yanet is our children lover!
She greatly enjoys sharing the Gospel with children. Therefore, she regularly attends courses and trainings on this topic. She also holds a BA in Education with a major in Translation and Interpreting, and a BA in Theology and Biblical Counseling. One of the things she enjoys the most when translating is Sunday School curriculum, and Biblical children’s literature.

Miguel is absolutely passionate about what he loves doing the most: translating!
He has the soul of a writer, and he knows how to faithfully render the soul of a text into a translated text.
Miguel’s education includes Postgraduate Studies in Literary Translation, and a BA in Education with a major in the Teaching of English as a Foreing Language (TEFL).

Mayra is a mother of 2 teenagers. She holds a BA in Education, specialized in TEFL, a Diploma in Literary Translation, and a Diploma in Biblical Studies. However, Mayra’s passion is Praise and Worship. She participates actively in her local church as a lead singer, and she attends every conference, training and course related to this subject as she longs to become an extravagant worshipper
in spirit and in truth!
Orelvis
Bible Languages Specialist >
Orelvis is our content editor, and a Bible Languages Specialist. He is also a teacher of Apologetics, Greek, and Hebrew at the Apologetics School of Cuenca.
His education includes: MS in Neuropsychology and Education, with a major in Research; MA in Biblical Studies; BA in Theology; and BA in Education with a major in TEFL.

Content and Style Editing >
Yusimí is a mother of 2 young boys, and a passionate editor. Her education includes: MA in Biblical and Theological Studies, BA in Pastoral Theology, BA in Biblical Studies, and a Diploma in Spanish Language and Literature. She firmly believes her training and her skills as a writer are a great contribution for Christian authors and publishers in the Christian publishing industry.

Felipe holds a BA in Graphic Design.
His experience includes more than 10 years in the Publishing industry.
He does not only have the technical training to perform his assignments with excellence, but he also is a very talented artist.
